Cleaver attack suspect to use insanity defense

The attorney for a man charged in a deadly meat cleaver attack says they will use an insanity defense.

Aita Gurung faces charges of first degree murder and first degree attempted murder for the October attacks of his wife and mother-in-law at their Hyde Street home in Burlington. His defense attorney now says they will call for expert testimony on Gurung's sanity. State prosecutors also now say a report found Gurung is competent to stand trial.

The motive for the attacks remains unclear.
